Simple & Easy Cleansing Balm Recipe (exclusive)

Formula;
8% olivem 1000
15% cetyl alcohol
5% polysorbate 80
72% plant oil (any liquid plant oil works fine)
Directions;
combine all ingredients in a heat safe container and melt
once melted pour into desired container and let solidify before using
Note; it isn't a bad idea to add some vitamin E during the cool down phase to help prevent oils form going rancid.
HOW TO USE; use clean dry hands to take desired amount of balm. mix balm between fingers until warmed and massage into dry skin in circular motion. wipe face with damp cloth to remove balm.
HOW I LIKE TO USE; use clean dry hands to take desired amount of balm. mix balm between fingers with a little bit of water and massage onto damp skin. Use cotton round to wipe off eye makeup. Rinse face with warm water and follow with a face wash.
Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient
olivem 1,000 - ecocert emulsifier. Helps removed makeup and emulsifies product
cetyl alcohol - hardens balm and moisturizes skin.
polysorbate 80 - helps with the rinse off process. without this ingredient your skin will still feel greasy after washing off this cleansing balm.
plant oil - moisturizes skin, helps remove make up, helps keep the balm from being too hard.
Substitutions;
substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions.
olivem 1,000 - any other waxy emulsifier, emulsifying wax nf, ritamulse scg, btms 50 etc.
cetyl alcohol - ceteryl alcohol or behenyl alcohol
polysorbate 80 - maybe polysorbate 20
plant oil - any plant oil works or emollient ester like squalane, c12-15 alkyl benzoate, caprylic capric triglyceride
