Formula;
heated water phase
58% distilled water - (substitute w/ aloe vera liquid or hydrosol of choice)
5% glycerin - (substitute w/ 1,3 propanedial)
.5% allantoin
heated oil phase
15% oil (I used sunflower oil) - (substitute w/ another carrier oil of choice)
5% shea butter - (substitute w/ cocoa butter, mango butter, or another butter of choice. May change the thickness of lotion)
8% ritamulse scg - (substitute w/ 4% emulsifying wax nf & 4% cetyl alcohol)
cool down phase
1.5% optiphen plus - (substitute w/ .5% liquid germall plus, 1.5% optiphen, 2% geogard/neodefend)
2% dl panthenol
3% distilled water - (used to dissolve the dl panthenol)
Directions;
combine ingredients from the water phase in a beaker
combine ingredients from oil phase in a separate beaker
cover both beakers and place in a water bath
heat to 158 degrees fahrenheit and hold for 20 minutes
while the water and oil phase is heating take a smaller beaker and weight out the distilled water in the cool down phase and dissolve dl panthenol into the water and then add in optiphen plus (we are not adding in the scented pumpkin extract because it is oil soluble, we will add it at the end)
once both the water and oil phase has been heated and held for 20 minutes, immediately pour the water phase into the oil phase and blend with an immersion blender.
once your formulation cools to under 148 degrees fahrenheit pour in your cool down phase and then add in the pumpkin scented extract
mix everything together one last time
optional - add in orange mica and mix in with immersion blender
once formulation has cooled to around 100 -110 degrees fahrenheit pour into your bottle
note: you want to pour your lotion into your bottle before it solidifies because it is easier to pour the lotion while it is still very thin.
Benefits and purpose of each ingredient;
glycerin - hydrates and locks in moisture
allantoin - has moisturizing, soothing, anti-irritating properties and stimulates healthy, normal tissue formation

pumpkin scented extract - is packed with vitamins and minerals and soothes and moisturizes the skin. It can also act as an accelerator, helping the skin to absorb nutrients quickly. & smells like pumpkin!
dl panthenol - provides excellent humectant benefits for restoring and maintaining natural skin moisture.
