This blog is a revised recipe. So if you watch the video that goes along with it, the directions will be different. Please follow the directions in this blog, not the video.
Today we are going to be making a Brightening Facial Serum. The key ingredients in this serum is Alpha-Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid. This serum will not work out without these two ingredients. If you want to substitute anything out just make sure you are following Suggested Usage Rates.
Brightening Facial Serum recipe
phase A
57.5% Distilled Water - 8.6 grams
.5% Allantoin - .07 grams
phase B
1% Hyaluronic Acid - .15 grams
5% Glycerin - .75 grams
phase C
1% Alpha-Arbutin - .15 grams
2% Niacinamide - .3 grams
2% Panthenol - .3 grams
20% Aloe Vera Liquid - 3 grams
4% Mushroom Extract - .6 grams
4% Dragonfruit Extract - .6 grams
3% Leucidal SF Complete - .45 grams
Directions;
combine phase A and place in a water bath and heat while mixing until allantoin dissolves. (you don't have to continuously mix, just come back periodically and mix or else the allantoin won't dissolve fully.)
combine phase B in a separate beaker and mix to create a slurry
once allantoin is dissolved remove from heat and let cool to 100°f before adding in phase C.
begin by adding the powder ingredients in phase C into phase A and mix until dissolved. then add in the rest of the ingredients in phase C and mix to combine.
pour phase A/C into B and mix. (the HA may clump up, this is normal. Let sit until the HA is fully hydrated and serum is smooth. May need to sit overnight)
check and adjust ph to 6
ph sensitive ingredients
niacinamide needs to be in a ph of 6
alpha arbutin needs to be in a ph between 3.5 - 6.6.

To use this serum all you need is about 2 drops and apply it to a damp face after cleansing. Gently massage into skin and follow with a moisturizer. This serum can be used daily morning and night.
