Directions;

  1. In a sanitized heat safe beaker, combine all the ingredients in phase A, in order, mixing in between the addition of each one. Make sure to mix enough to dissolve each powdered ingredient. 

  2. In a separate sanitized beaker, combine all the ingredients in phase B, and mix. 

  3. In another separate sanitized beaker, combine all the ingredients in phase C and mix. 

  4. While mixing, pour phase B into phase A. 

  5. Then pour in phase C while mixing.

  6. Check and adjust pH between 4.5 - 5.5 and pour into desired bottle. 



How to use; Apply AM & PM, on clean dry skin. Shake and pour onto cotton round and gently swipe on skin. Can also pour directly into hands and pat into skin. 


Note; Have fun customizing yours by using a different hydrosol, a different peptide of choice, or different emollients. Can also add in plant extracts or water soluble dyes to further customize yours.

I used 0.1% Campo Pink, Hydrophilic to color mine.



Benefits / Uses of Ingredients;

  • Rose Hydrosol - adds a natural rose scent. Said to have skin softening and rejuvenating skin properties. 

  • Distilled Water - diluent 

  • Disodium EDTA - chelating agent. Learn all about Chelating Agents HERE

  • Betaine - humectant and moisturizer and can help enhance the skins barrier function. Has been shown to help with decreasing transepidermal water loss. Does not leave a sticky feeling on skin. Helps increase the solubility of allantoin and salicylic acid in water. It can also help with reducing the irritation in foaming surfactant based products.

  • Niacinamide - a very effective skin-restoring ingredient that offers multiple


    benefits for aging skin. Among these benefits is the ability to visibly improve the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and helps improve the overall appearance of the skin. (learn more HERE) 

  • Hexapeptide 1 (INCI: Water & Hexapeptide-11) - According to FSS “useful for a variety of anti-aging benefits such as increas­ing skin tone and elasticity and may also improve skin hydration.”

  • Propanediol - humectant

  • Glycerin - humectant

  • Phenoxyethanol & Ethyhexylglycerin - preservative 

  • ULMW Hyaluronic Acid - humectant 

  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride - light weight emollient. (Moisturizes the skin)

  • Squalane - light weight emollient. Similar to skins natural sebum. Great moisturizer for all skin types. 

  • C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate - emollient that softens the skin. Offers a moisturizing and sealing effect.

  • Olivem 300 - solublizer to blend the oil and water together. 

  • Vitamin E Acetate - antioxidant. Offers antioxidant benefits to the skin. 



Substitutes;

Keep in mind that these are just suggestions. Formula may not hold up as well, but may still hold up enough for DIY personal use. Use only cosmetic grade ingredients.
