Ceramide Cream Gel w/ Sepimax Zen (exclusive)

Updated: May 13, 2022

Formula;

phase A

phase B

phase C

phase D

Directions;

  • combine all ingredients in order from phase A.

  • Do not mix in the sepimax zen.

  • Let it sit for at least 8 hours.

  • 8 hours later mix phase A together and you will have a thick gel

  • next weight out ingredients in phase B in a separate beaker

  • cover both phase A and phase B with foil and heat using a water bath. You only need to heat both phases until the cetyl alcohol melts. Do not heat phase A over 80c as this is to hot for the ceramide complex. The reason we are adding the ceramide complex in the heated phase rather than the cool down phase is because ceramide complex has a tendency to thin out emulsions when added during the cool down phase.

  • While both phases are heating work on phase C. Mix together the two ingredients in phase C until the dl panthenol dissolves.

  • Then add in all the ingredients in phase D into phase C

  • Once the cetyl alcohol is melted pour phase A into phase B and mix with high sheer. Then hand mix for about a minute until everything is combined.

  • Once the phase A/B solution cools to 40c you can add in phase C/D mixture. then hand mix until everything is combined.

  • Check ph and adjust

ph adjusting; natural ph falls around 5.9 this is fine to keep but I added in two drops of a 50% citric acid and 50% distilled water solution and it dropped the ph to 5.5.

Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient

glycerin - humectant that hydrates skin

ceramide complex - restores the protective barrier function of the skin and offers enhanced delivery and exchange of skin lipids. Ceramide Complex is especially suitable for dry skin, aging skin and sensitive skin.

sepimax zen - gelling ingredient and emulsifier

cetyl alcohol - thickener and emollient

macadamia nut oil - emollient to moisturize skin. Its high content of linoleic acid restores the skin's “barrier function”, preventing water loss, infiltration of toxins, and environmental skin damage. This enables skin to stay hydrated and healthy, appearing younger and smoother.

baobab oil - It's lightweight, doesn’t clog pores, and moisturizes your skin to prevent the production of excess oil that leads to acne. It's rich in antioxidants to help preserve collagen. In addition to locking in moisture for soft skin, baobab oil keeps fine lines and wrinkles at bay by protecting against collagen breakdown.

dl panthenol - also know as vitamin B5. has humectant benefits for restoring and maintaining natural skin moisture.

baobab protein - defends skin against UV stress by limiting cellular photo-aging. It restores skin vitality by reducing DNA damage following UV exposure. It maintains healthy, supple skin with nourishing amino acids.

vitamin e oil - antioxidant. best known for maintaining skin health.

liquid germall plus - preservative
