Vaseline Body Gel Oil Dupe - Exclusive 10/26

A while ago one of you guys asked me to recreate the Vaseline Body Gel Oil .
Well, I figured out a method, and it's super super easy! \ (•◡•) /
Vaseline Body Gel Oil Ingredient list: Mineral Oil, Hydrogenated Styrene/Butadiene Copolymer, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Fragrance (Parfum), Coumarin, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool.

Ingredient List Breakdown
Mineral Oil is the main ingredient in this formula. It is a very dry non greasy emollient. This is what keeps the product from feeling overly greasy and sticky.
Hydrogenated Styrene/Butadiene Copolymer - this is the second key ingredient to making this body gel oil. This is the ingredient that thickens the gel into a clear oil gel.
Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter (Cocoa Butter) - they only use a teeny tiny amount of this for marketing purposes since it suits the story of their branding, but you do not need it.
Fragrance (Parfum), Coumarin, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool - this is all just fragrance and allergens listed, so we don't need any of this. (unless you want to add a fragrance oil)
Unfortuantely I couldn't find where to purchase Hydrogenated Styrene/Butadiene Copolymer, but luckily I had some Jojoba Gel on hand, which actually contains Hydrogenated Styrene/Butadiene Copolymer.
I bought Jojoba Gel to make lip glosses, but according to MakingCosmetics.com you can also use it in "All kinds of emulsions (creams, lotions, cleansers, hair creams, makeup foundations), lip care products, massage oils, baby oils." So I figured it was a good place to start with my experiments. & I was right, because I got it on the very first time! But there are some important things to note about Jojoba Gel

Jojoba Gel INCI - Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Butylene/Ethlyene/Styrene Copolymer
According to MakingCosmetics.com Jojoba Gel "is not compatible with triglyceride, castor oil, and dimethicone."

They do state that it works best with Jojoba Oil, polyisobutene, Isoeicosane, & Mineral Oil.
I also tested it out with a few different fragrance oils and I didn't experience any issues with those, so just make sure you follow your fragrance oils IFRA guidelines and you should be good.

If you want to use a natural oil like Jojoba Oil, but you still want you oily gel to be clear try using Clear Jojoba Oil

Clear Body Gel Oil Formula

Golden Jojoba Body Gel Oil Formula

Directions to make both Formulas:
All you need to do is mix Jojoba Gel with your oil of choice. Then add in the fragrance if using fragrance oil.

If you want to incorporate a butter you can try melting down 1% Cocoa Butter into your oil, then mixing it into the Jojoba Gel. If you want me to try this method to see if it works comment below and let me know.
