Formula;
heated phase
59.7% castor oil
20% polyamide-3
cool down phase
.3% flavor oil
Directions;
combine all ingredients in the heated phase and heat in a water bath until everything is melted
the polyamide-3 can be a struggle to melt so give the formula a few mixes while it is heating to help the polyamide-3 melt.
once everything is melted add in the flavor oil and mix in
immediately pour into lip balm tubes
let harden and then they are ready to use
thoughts; love it! turned out way better than I expected. Never heard of a lip gloss gel prior to this and now I totally get it! lol
Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient
castor oil - helps soothe and condition chapped lips. is thicker and tackier than a lot of other plant oils, which is personally what I like about it when it comes to lip products.
macadamia nut oil - absorbs quickly. moisturizes, nourishes, and protects lips
polyamide - 3 - used to gel and thicken lip gloss into a gel stick. also helps create a beautiful glossy look. I definitely recommend clicking here and reading more about this ingredient. It can be used for so many different things.
flavor oil - adds a scent to product

substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions.

flavor oil - can be left out or use peppermint essential oil
