Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient
1,3 propanedial - is a natural, green, propylene glycol alternative derived from corn sugar, used as a humectant, hair and skin conditioner, preservative booster, and solvent with a light, non-sticky, slightly dry skin feel. Used in this formula for its humectant properties and used as a solvent to solubilize our preservative into the formulation.
euxyl pe 9010 - broad spectrum preservative
distilled water - water is NOT a filler! water is necessary to replenish our skins moisture.
blood orange hydrosol - adds a lovely citrus fragrance to our serum
cellynkage - (key ingredient in this formula) repairs the skin to help hold and lock in moisture. for more in depth detail about this ingredient read my blog on this ingredient.
citrustem - made from orange stem cells and works by organizing the inner structure of the skin for a younger appearance with a softer and more velvety complexion
coco caprylate - acts as an emollient and leaves a light, non-oily smooth and velvet skin sensation. It is very popular as a natural alternative to light silicones and mineral oils. It has a similar skin sensation like Cyclomethicone or light Dimethicone types.
camellia oil - protects the skin against the abuse of external environmental elements, reduces the appearance of mature skin, and gives a nourished look to your complexion. It is easily absorbed by the skin, leaving it silky smooth without the greasy feeling
hyaluronic acid ULMW - helps plump, hydrate, and make skin more youthful and healthy. since this HA has a lower molecular weight it penetrates into the skin better showing more results.
sepimax zen - is used to emulsify oil and water together and is used for it's gelling effects to make the serum feel like a serum
Substitution;
1,3 propanedial for glycerin or another propylene glycol
euxyl pe 9010 for liquid germall plus, optiphen plus, optiphen, or leucidal sf complete
distilled water for hydrosols or aloe vera liquid
blood orange hydrosol for Neroli Hydrosol, also known as Orange Blossom Hydrosol. Or you could use another citrus hydrosol like lemon or lime
cellynkage for 72h Moisture
citrustem no substitutions, but you can leave it out if you don't have it or replace it with another anti aging ingredient you like or even an extract you like
coco caprylate for natrasil, neossance hemisqualane, any other natural silicone alternative, or you can use a silicone you like such as dimethicone. or you can leave out and use water here instead.
camellia oil for another light oil of choice or you can leave out and use water here instead
hyaluronic acid ULMW no substitutions
sepimax zen no substitutions. If you decide to not use oil in this product you could substitute the sepimax zen with hyaluronic acid HMW to create a gel. You could also use xanthan gum soft or siligel. Siligel may help emulsify oils a bit, but I wouldn't use to much oil just in case.
