Lemon Toner w/ Aloe & 5% Niacinamide

Formula;
water phase
36.5% distilled water
20% aloe vera liquid - (substitute w/ a hydrosol, or distilled water)
10% lemon hydrosol
20% witch hazel
4% 1,3 propanedial - (substitute w/ glycerin)
2% glycerin - (substitute w/1,3 propanedial)
5% niacinamide
.5% liquid germall plus - (substitute w/ optiphen plus, optiphen, geogard ultra, leucidal sf complete or another water soluble broad spectrum preservative. make sure you are using recommended usage rate)
Directions;
weight and combine all ingredients in a container and mix until niacinamide has dissolved
pour into bottle and you are done
Benefits of each ingredient;
aloe vera liquid - soothing, hydrating, and calming to the skin. can even help with acne
lemon hydrosol - great for oily acne prone skin
witch hazel - helps tone the skin. is astringent and soothing. has tightening effects and balancing properties.
1,3 propanedial - moisturizes the skin and helps alleviate the greasiness some may find that glycerin causes
glycerin - hydrates and locks in moisture
niacinamide - very effective skin-restoring ingredient that offers multiple benefits for aging skin. Among these benefits is the ability to visibly improve the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and helps improve the overall appearance of the skin.
willow bark extract - slightly exfoliates skin. enhances cell turnover, act as a natural anti-microbial agent. is an anti-inflammatory and an analgesic agent
liquid germall plus - preserves product
Exact formula I used; (makes 35 grams)
distilled water - 12.8 grams
aloe vera liquid - 7 grams
lemon hydrosol - 3.5 grams
witch hazel - 7 grams
1,3 propanedial - 1.4 grams
glycerin - .7 grams
niacinamide - 1.75 grams
willow bark extract -.7 grams
liquid germall plus - .17 grams
