Homemade Creamy Moisturizing Hand Soap

I have made many hand soap recipes but this one is by far my favorite yet!
Formula;
Phase A
63.5% distilled water
5% avocado oil (substitute w/ any other carrier oil)
Thickening phase
1% siligel (could use 2% siligel instead & not use xanthan gum)
.5% xanthan gum (could use 1% xanthan gum instead & not use siligel)
Surfactant Phase
10% gentle foam (substitute w/ another foaming surfactant)
10% coco glucoside (substitute w/ another foaming surfactant)
Phase B
1.5% optiphen plus (substitute w/ any broad spectrum water soluble preservative)
.5% fragrance (I used waterlily melon)
Directions;
Weigh out all ingredients in phase A. Heat up using a double boiler until it is warm. You just want to warm the ingredients because we are going to be adding in the siligel and xanthan gum next and they dissolve better in warm formulations. So while the formula is still warm add in your siligel and xanthan gum then mix up using an immersion blender. You will notice the formula immediately starts to thicken up. Once everything is nice and thick let the formulation sit until it has returned to room temperature. Once it has cooled and returned to room temperature add in your foaming surfactants. Mix the surfactants in by hand, gently, be sure to not cause any lather or foam. Now it is time to add in all your ingredients in phase B. Mix everything together one last time and pour into a bottle. 4 ounce bottle I used & pump I used.
Benefits of Ingredients;
avocado oil - adds moisture to the skin
vegetable glycerin - adds moisture to the skin
1,3 propanedial - adds moisture to the skin and helps eliminated any greasy feeling from the vegetable glycerin (I personally don't find glycerin to be greasy)
siligel - emulsifies the oil and water together. gels & thickens formulation (if you use just siligel and no xanthan gum the hand soap will be a gel hand soap)
xanthan gum - gives the hand soap a more creamy soft feel & thickens formulation (if you use just xanthan gum & no siligel, it will be more creamy and less gel like)
gentle foam - creates lather & cleanses the skin
coco glucoside - creates lather & cleanses the skin. emulsifies the oil and water together. (if you don't use siligel this works fine as an emulsifier on its own)
optiphen plus - preserves the hand soap
300 gram recipe (about 8 ounces);
Phase A
distilled water - 190.5 grams
avocado oil - 15 grams
vegetable glycerin - 12 grams
1,3 propanedial - 12 grams
Thickening phase
siligel - 3 grams
xanthan gum - 2 grams
Surfactant Phase
gentle foam - 30 grams
coco glucoside - 30 grams
Phase B
optiphen plus 4.5 grams
fragrance - 2 grams
