Formula;
water phase
67.5% distilled water
3% 1,3 propanedial
2% glycerin
oil phase
5% BTMS 50
2.5% cetyl alcohol
cool down phase
6% distilled water
2% dl panthenol
2% vegekeratin
.5% essential oil or fragrance oil
Directions
begin by weighing out the oil phase and water phase in two separate heat safe beakers
cover and heat up both phases using a water bath
while the phases are heating you can take this time to weigh out the cool down ingredients in an other beaker. I like to start with the distilled water first to dissolve the dl panthenol with, then I add in everything else and mix.
once both the oil phase and water phase have been heated and held pour the water phase into the oil phase and blend with an immersion blender
once it cools you can add in the cool down ingredients
make sure everything is well mixed then add into your bottle of choice.
tip; conditioners are thick and can be difficult to get into bottles. I like to add my conditioner into a plastic baggier and cut off the tip and use it like a piping back to get my product into my bottle.
