Feminine Wash - PH Balanced Yoni Wash (natural/ecocert ingredients)

All ingredients in this formula are naturally derived or Ecocert approved.

This is an external wash for the vulva only. Do not use internally. The vagina is self cleansing and does not need a cleanser.


Formula;

phase B

phase C

Directions;

  • combine all ingredients in phase A and mix until smooth.

  • in a separate container combine all ingredients in phase B and mix until aloe vera powder is dissolved.

  • once aloe vera powder has dissolved pour phase B into phase A and mix until smooth. (larger batches may end up with clumps. This is totally normal. They will go away after about 24 hours or a bit longer. Just proceed with the formula)

  • once phase A/B are combined add both ingredients in phase C and mix until combined.

  • check and adjust ph to between 4.0 - 4.5 (this is the natural ph of our lady parts)

  • cover yoni gel and let sit over night before bottling up.

  • check the ph again the next day to make sure the ph didn't drift.

How to use;

Lather the product and apply it to your external intimate area (the area around your vagina). Then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry as usual.

Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient

xanthan gum soft - thickens/gels wash. xanthan gum "soft" is the best quality xanthan gum

glycerin - humectant that hydrates the skin

euxyl K 903 - ecocert approved preservative

rose water - calming and soothing to skin. adds a slight rosy scent to wash.

aloe vera powder - soothing, hydrating, and calming to the skin.

chamomile extract - calms and soothes skin.

foaming apple - very mild and gentle anionic surfactant. creates lather and cleans the skin.

cocamidopropyl betaine - gentle and mild amphoteric surfactant. helps lather and cleans the skin.


Substitutions;

substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions.

  • xanthan gum soft - siligel or another gelling agent like guar gum or sclerotium gum

  • glycerin - propanedial, propylene glycol or other humectant

  • euxyl k 903 - any other water soluble preservative like liquid germall plus, optiphen plus, euxyl PE 9010, geogard ECT, tristate eco, etc.

  • rose water - any other hydrosol or use distilled water instead

  • chamomile extract - cucumber extract or green tea extract. or use chamomile hydrosol (would need to use a higher percentage and use in place of some of the distilled water)

  • aloe vera powder 200x - aloe vera 100x, aloe vera extract, or you could use aloe vera liquid instead of distilled water.

  • foaming apple - foaming soy, foaming oats, AOS 40, or any other mild anionic surfactant

  • cocamidopropyl betaine - caprylyl/capryl Glucoside, coco glucoside, decyl glucoside, lauramidopropyl betaine, or any other mild co surfactant.
