I'm not sure if you have ever heard of Herbivore Botanicals, but they sell natural skincare products and I am always seeing their products all over social media, but they are so expensive! So I wanted to try to recreate one of their products. A specific product that stands out to me is the Phoenix Facial Oil, it looks so lovely, but the price tag does not. This Facial Oil runs for $88 for only 1.7 oz / 50 ml. But we can make if for much cheaper than that. So today we are going to be making a DIY Phoenix Facial Oil. I don't have all the ingredients they use though. I don't have Chia Seed Oil, Rose Absolute, or Neroli Essential Oil, but I am still able to make a very similar facial oil without these ingredients. We are only going to be making 15 grams, which fits in a half ounce dropper bottle. So let's get started.
Start by weighing out 6.37 grams of Jojoba Oil in a heat safe container using a digital scale that weighs to 0.01 grams. I used a 50 ml glass beaker to weigh my ingredients in. I then weighed out 3 grams of Rosehip Seed Oil, 5.25 grams of Meadowfoam Seed Oil, & .15 grams of Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil. Next you want to heat up your oils by creating a water bath. You want to gently heat your oils to 120 degrees fahrenheit. We are heating up the oils so we can dissolve our next ingredient. So once the oils have been heated to 120 degrees fahrenheit you can weigh out .07 grams of Co-Enzyme Q10 into your oils and mix until dissolved. Lastly we need to weigh out .15 grams of Vitamin E Oil & mix everything together. Now we can pour our DIY Phoenix Facial Oil into a half ounce glass dropper bottle. Congrats! You just made your very own DIY Phoenix Facial Oil. It is that easy! :)
To use this serum take about 2-3 drops and gently massage it into the face. Use after cleansing. Can be used morning and night.
