Formula;
45.5% arrowroot powder
20% sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI)
20% kaolin clay
10% colloidal oatmeal
4% flaxseed powder
.5% FSS pumpkin powder
Directions;
combine all ingredients and mix together
using a funnel pour into a plastic bottle
ph adjusting; no ph adjusting needed
Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient
arrowroot powder - filler. It can also help soften skin, balance oil production and help with blemishes
sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI) - cleansing agent
kaolin clay - texturizer. This will help thicken the face wash a bit to make it easier to spread on the skin. It can also help with unclogging pores, tightening skin and can help control oil production.
colloidal oatmeal - helps soothe stressed, blemished and irritated skin and can even help relieve dry and itchy skin.
flaxseed powder - works as a mild exfoliation
FSS pumpkin powder - has a faint scent of pumpkin to it. It is a rich source of gently exfoliating enzymes, antioxidants, beta carotene, and many other vitamins and mineral.
Substitutions;
substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions.
arrowroot powder - corn starch
sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI) - Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA)
kaolin clay - any other clay
colloidal oatmeal - no sub. can leave out
flaxseed powder - chamomile powder or another powder of choice
FSS pumpkin powder - no sub
