Pumpkin Facial Scrub


Formula;

heated oil phase

cool down phase

Directions;

  • combine ingredients in the heated oil phase and heat in a water bath until melted

  • once melted place in fridge to harden

  • once it's solidified mix by hand to break everything up and then mix with hand mixer

  • add in cool down ingredients and mix with hand mixer again

  • add in equal parts sugar and mix by hand one last time

Benefits and purpose of each ingredient

  • oil - adds moisture to scrub

  • shea butter - serves as a great moisturizer and helps harden scrub a bit.

  • ritamulse scg - helps to create an emulsified and hardened scrub. Adds slip and glide to scrub

  • cetyl alcohol - adds slip, glide, conditioning, and emollience to scrub. Also acts as a co emulsifier and hardener for scrub.

  • pumpkin scented extract - is packed with vitamins and minerals and soothes and moisturizes the skin. It can also act as an accelerator, helping the skin to absorb nutrients quickly. & smells like pumpkin!

  • pumpkin powder - the fine, orange powder, smells exactly like pumpkin. Pumpkin gently removes dead skin cells and leaves skin smooth and glowing.

  • vitamin E oil - reduces UV-induced free radical damage to the skin. It also protects cells against the effects of free radicals which are formed as by-products of the body’s metabolic processes.

  • optiphen - helps preserve product since this scrub may come into contact with water

  • sugar - serves as exfoliant
