This is an oil based product that lathers, bubbles, and foams when it comes into contact with water. The key ingredient in this formula is Lumorol. I am not able to find lumorol from any US suppliers so my friend Jenna from Revega Cosmetics sent me some. Be sure to go check out her YouTube channel and subscribe.
Formula;
60% lumorol
30% jojoba oil
8.5% watermelon seed oil
0.5% vitamin E
1% fragrance oil
Directions;
combine all ingredients together and gently mix.
pour into desired bottle. I used a pump bottle
pH adjusting; no pH adjusting needed. This is an anhydrous product and anhydrous products don't have a pH
Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient
lumorol - source; It is a water free blend of surfactants that are anionic and non ionic. When it is mixed with oil it makes a very good cleansing product for shower oils or foaming bath oils. When it comes into contact with water it self emulsifies into a white oil in water (O/W) emulsion which cleanses and then rinses off very well. It foams well even with a high oil content. Use 35% to 65% as a general guideline depending on the oils it is combined with.
jojoba oil - helps moisturize the skin and closely resembles the skins natural sebum
watermelon seed oil - has moisturizing regenerating and restoring properties
vitamin E - antioxidant
Substitutions;
substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions. these substitution suggestions are just suggestions and have not been tested to work.
lumorol - no sub. There is no other ingredients that I know of that is similar to this ingredients.
jojoba oil - any plant oil or emollient ester
watermelon seed oil - any plant oil or emollient ester
vitamin E - you can leave out.
