Formula;

heated phase
64% distilled water - (substitute w/ any hydrosol or aloe vera liquid)
10% coconut water - (substitute w/ coconut extract in cool down phase) (I also do not recommend using coconut water from the grocery store. That coconut water is not cosmetic grade and could cause your face mist to spoil quickly)
10% chamomile hydrosol - (substitute w/ chamomile extract in cool down phase, any other hydrosol or aloe vera liquid)
4% 1,3 propanedial - (substitute w/ vegetable glycerin, honeyquat, Sodium lactate, butylene glycol, or propylene glycol)
3% dl panthenol - (nothing that I know of really compares to panthenol but you could substitute w/ another humectant like vegetable glycerin, honeyquat, Sodium lactate, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, or a hydrolyzed protein like wheat protein, baobab protein, rice protein, silk protein, oat protein)
2% vegetable glycerin - (substitute w/ 1,3 propanedial, honeyquat, Sodium lactate, butylene glycol, or propylene glycol)
2% hydrolyzed oat protein - (substitute w/ a different protein, like wheat protein, baobab protein, rice protein, silk protein)
.5% allantoin - (don't know of any substitutions)
cool down phase
.5% liquid germall plus - (substitute w/ leucidal sf complete, optiphen plus or another water soluble broad spectrum preservative)
2% dragon fruit extract - (I'm really just using these two extract because I have a lot of them and they need used up, but I really love them because they are hydrating and have anti aging effects. You can use any other extract you would like that can help with your skin type. here are some examples of extracts I love grapefruit, calendula, green tea, ginger root, cherry blossom, chamomile, & cucumber)
Directions;
combine all ingredients from phase A into a heat safe container. I like using these beakers HERE.
mix everything together till powder starts to dissolve a bit (it won't dissolve completely until we heat it up)
take note of how much everything weighs (including the weight of the beaker.) when we heat the formulation up some water will evaporate so we need to replace any water loss with distilled water.
create a water bath, place your beaker in, cover your beaker so nothing falls in, & heat to above 148 degrees fahrenheit. Anything at and above this temperature will help dissolve the powdered ingredients.
once everything is heated and the powder is dissolved weigh your beaker and replace what water evaporated. Then let the formulation cool down to room temperature.
Once cooled to room temperature add in your cool down ingredients. Mix everything together one last time & pour into a spray bottle.
Benefits of each ingredient;
coconut water - full of essential amino acids while also containing enzymes, antioxidants and phytonutrients.
chamomile hydrosol - known for its healing & soothing effect on the skin. great for sensitive, and acne, skin types, especially inflamed acne.
1,3 propanedial - moisturizes the skin and helps alleviate the greasiness some may find that glycerin causes
dl panthenol - has an anti-inflammatory effect. has the potential to improve the appearance of the skin, including dryness, roughness, scaling, pruritus and erythema. and its moisturizing properties improve stratum corneum hydration, reducing transepidermal water loss and maintains skin elasticity and softness.
vegetable glycerin - hydrates and locks in moisture
hydrolyzed oat protein - will impart a soft, cushiony feel on the skin, drying to a velvety smoothness on the skin. Studies have shown that hydrolyzed oats retain significantly more moisture at all humidities, gaining up to 50% more moisture at relative low humidity when added moisture is most needed.
allantoin - increases the moisture and smoothness of the skin. promotes cell proliferation, wound healing, and soothes the skin
liquid germall plus - preserve's product
mushroom extract - has anti-aging effects, firms skin, & increases cell turnover
dragon fruit extract - has anti-aging effects, full of antioxidants, is wound healing, firms skin, soothing and moisturizing
