Formula;


phase A

phase B

Directions;

  • combine ingredients in phase A and mix

  • combine all ingredients in phase B and mix until dl panthenol dissolves.

  • slowly incorporate phase A into phase B. For best results use an overhead mixer or a couple pulses from an immersion blender. The smaller the batch the easier to incorporate.

Natural PH of product - around 6.2 used 5 drops of a 50/50 citric acid solution to get ph to 4.6. If you don't know how to adjust ph watch this video here


Benefits/Purpose of each ingredient

sunflower solubilizer - water and oil don't mix. So in order to incorporate the oil soluble banana extract you need a solubilizer. This also contributes to the milky look and texture of this product.

OS banana extract - contains sunflower oil, which the oil is what contributes to the milky look and texture. Banana extract is proven to be great for dry skin

witch hazel hydrosol - does not contain alcohol and is gentle and soothing unlike witch hazels containing alcohol. Witch hazel is an astringent, is soothing, & helps tighten pores.

ceramide complex - restores the protective barrier function of the skin and offers enhanced delivery and exchange of skin lipids. Ceramide Complex is especially suitable for dry skin, aging skin and sensitive skin.

glycerin - humectant that hydrates the skin

dl panthenol - aka vitamin B5 provides excellent humectant benefits for restoring and maintaining natural skin moisture.

coconut milk extract - it replenishes the moisture in the skin, which leaves it smooth, soft and hydrated.

liquid germall plus - preservative


Substitutions;

substituting ingredients will change the final feel, viscosity, and overall effect of final product. percentages and formulating procedure may need to change with substitutions.

  • sunfower solubilizer - poly suga mulse D9, tego solve 61, polysorbate 20, polysorbate 80

  • OS banana extract - any other oil soluble extract or oil

  • witch hazel hydrosol - a hydrosol, essence water, distilled water, or use witch hazel extract

  • ceramide complex - no sub

  • glycerin - propanedial, propylene glycol or other humectant

  • dl panthenol - no sub, but you can leave out

  • coconut milk extract - any other liquid extract of choice

  • liquid germall plus - any other water soluble preservative like optiphen plus or euxyl PE 9010
